Cledis Burgers & Beer Garden

Nashville is known for its hot chicken, but it also has some pretty good burger spots. I came to this place called Cledis @lovecledis and heard they have some of the best burgers in Nashville. The Georgia Carpese Signature Burger 🍔🍔🍔 - These is one of their signatures smash burgers, with fried mozzarella, basil pesto, peach preserves, and balsamic drizzle. This was an ok burger, but I felt like something was missing, maybe an aioli or something similar that would really give that wow factor. I was hoping this would have come from the peach persevere, but unfortunately, the peach flavor wasn't as pronounced as I had hoped. Also, I would have liked if the bun was buttered and toasted. The Garlic Parmesan Wings 🍗🍗🍗 - These were ok, but again, these are also missing that wow factor. Possibly cooking the wings longer to make them crispy/crunchy, adding a dry season when they are first out the grease, then add a garlic parm to drizzle would make these wings go from meh to mmmmmmmm. The Truffle Shuffle Fries 🍟🍟🍟 - These fries were good!...Big and bold flavor from the truffle and parmesan. The fries came out hot and crispy. Good job with these fries! The Fried Kielbasa - Is 1/2 pounds of sliced kielbasa tossed in a maple bourbon glaze. To be honest, if I had this and the truffle fries, I would have been impressed and satisfied. This was very good! Crunchy texture in the kielbasa and tasty glaze on top. Possibly adding this to one of the signature burgers would certainly be a hit! To wrap up, Cledis has some good stuff, but I was a little underwhelmed by the burger. This is a burger place, so maybe I need to try the other signature burgers. I love this place. Food is great. They have a vegan option which I appreciate but would eat a good smashed turkey burger if they had it. (Hint, hint) The outside space is my favorite. The owner is super nice. They have many beers on tap. I am a hard kombucha girl so it was nice that they had one of those on tap also. Would love to see more of those in the future. At least two would be nice so that there was a choice. Definitely a great place for spring, summer and fall if you want to be outside.

Tasty pub grub with just enough fried flavor to make the taste buds dance. Great selection of burger and fries with a few sandwiches mixed in for variety. Pretty good beer selection as well. Atmosphere is varied: front porch has the old school county park vibe while the inside seems like a good dive bar with a video game addiction. The back patio/beer garden has a "Hofbrauhaus meets acid jazz" low key chill vibe complete with chillaxing light show. Not quite what I would have expected on a Friday night. But it worked well for our purposes. Service was the perfect mix of southern hospitality and efficiency with enough superficial sweetness to bring a smile to your face.

Whenever my wife and I are in Nashville, we try a new burger place to check out. Today we tried Cledis based on a good friend's recommendation, as well as their amazing Instagram photos. My wife and I shared the Oklahoma Smashburger, the fried kielbasa sausage, and the green chili queso cheese fries. The Oklahoma Smashburger was hands down the best burger we've had in Nashville! It was SO good. It's the perfect size (double patty), juicy and topped with perfectly grilled onions. The kielbasa is glazed with a maple bourbon sauce, which is absolutely to die for! I think next time, we're going to have our Smashburger covered in that glaze, it's that good! The queso cheese fries were also excellent, but I think we'll try a different fry option next time. Overall, we're incredibly satisfied and will for sure be back soon. The food is outstanding, is reasonably priced, with fast and friendly service. It's well worth it!
